Welcome aboard Roy Mexted!

Gold Star Canadian Tours is excited to announce our 2024 Guest Artist, musician Roy Mexted.

Roy is a talented guitarist and vocalist who has made Churchill, Manitoba his home since 2017. Originally from Australia, Roy’s music is deeply inspired by the stunning landscapes and rich culture of the North. His performances offer a unique blend of original compositions alongside a wide-ranging repertoire of popular hits from the 60s to the present, ensuring there’s something to entertain every audience.

Beyond the stage, Roy is an active member of Churchill’s vibrant arts community. He’s involved with several local organizations, including the Churchill Creative Collective, Imaginorthern, and the Tourism Development Committee, where he helps bring new events and artistic programming to life. Roy is also passionate about mentoring local youth in music and providing music therapy sessions for elders and daycare children, fostering a deep connection between music and community.

Roy’s performances are not just about the music; they are about celebrating the spirit of Churchill and sharing the joy of music with all who listen.

Roy will be performing at the Banquet dinner at each of our upcoming Expeditions this fall, and he will be a tremendous addition to our Churchill experience.
